Wolf Mountain Winery offers tours and wine tastings.  Enjoy views from the covered balcony and deck. Themed Sunday brunches, bistro lunches and Winemaker Gourmet Dinners are also offered which are popular with our guests. If you want to eat there please call them first.

We are the closest inn to Wolf Mountain Winery.


Three Sisters Vineyards

Three Sisters is the oldest winery in the area. Its casual atmosphere and friendly owners and staffThree Sisters Winery picture make wine tastings fun and enjoyable. They also offer a nice array of picnic items (Georgia cheeses, pates, deli meats and breads) for winery/vineyard picnics.

Because of the great views many have had weddings in the gazebo area. Visit web site above for times of operation, special events, and more.

If you head up the hill and around the corner from Three Sisters, you will see Frogtown Cellars.

Winery is open for tastings/tours and also feature special winery dinners and events. The Le Vigne Ristorante also serves lunch and dinner. Located five miles east of Dahlonega, this 15 acre property has three acres of vineyards and is the areas newest vineyard. The winery has three sides below ground and is styled after an old-fashioned barn.

They do not have their own vineyard but make their own wine. We like their reds. Owned by millennials they are very enthusiastic about what they do.

Have you tried honey wine? That is what mead is. They also serve flights carbonated mead flavored with many different types of fruit ranging from paw paw to blueberry and they have an ever changing variety. They have talked about using some of the adjacent buildings for brewing craft beer and whiskey. Located just south of the inn on the way back to Dahlonega.

Habersham Vineyards & Winery is located about 40 minutes away from the inn in the Sautee-Habersham Winery PictureNacoochee Village south of Helen. It is open year around.

While in the area visit Nora Mill (est 1878) across the street, have lunch at the Nacoochee Grill and visit Sautee.

Habersham also has a tasting room in downtown Dahlonega open year around.

This is one of White County's newest wineries and is the farthest from Cedar House Inn since it is on the east side of White County.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) About Dahlonega Wineries

Question: When are the wineries open for tastings?

Answer: There are six wineries and a meadery in Dahlonega with various tasting hours. Three Sisters Winery is open for tasting Thursday thru Saturday from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm and Sundays from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Kaya Vineyard and Winery is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm and Sundays from 12:30 to 5:00 pm. Frogtown Cellars in open Monday thru Friday from 12:00 noon - 5:00 pm, Saturday from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm and Sunday from 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm. Wolf Mountain Vineyards tasting hours from March thru August are Thursday - Saturday from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm and Sunday from 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm. From September thru November tastings are Tuesday - Saturday from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm and Sunday from 12:30 - 5:00 pm. Cavendar Creek Vineyards is open Sunday, Monday, and Thursday from 12:30 - 5:30 pm, Friday from 12:30 - 7:00 pm and Satruday from 11:00 - 7:00 pm. Montaluce Winery and Restaurant is open for tastings anytime it is open. This tends to be seven days a week and can be until 9:00 pm. The winery closes for private events at times so it's always safest to call. Accent Cellars is open Sunday thru Friday from 12:30 - 7:00 pm and Saturdays from11:00 am - 8:00 pm. Etowah Meadery makes honey wine and is open for tastings Friday and Saturday from 10:00 - 7:00 pm and 12:30 - 7:00 on Sunday.

Question: How much do tastings cost?

Answer: Walk-in tastings vary. Three Sisters charges $15 for a flight of five wines. Montaluce charges between $18 - $23 for a five wine flight. Kaya charges $14 for its basic 5 wine flight and $18 for its Delux Flight. At Wolf Mountain a tasting will cost you $20. Cavendar Creek offers a four wine tasting for $12. Accent Cellars offers a five wine flight for $14 and a nine wine flight for $22. Call Etowah Meadery and Frogtown Cellars for their tasting prices.

Question: Can I tour any of the wineries?

Answer: Montaluce offers free 20 minute tours with no reservations needed Weekdays at 2:00 pm and Weekends at Noon. Wine Hikes are offered on the weekends with a reservation. Kaya offers a 90 minute tour and tasting Saturdays and Sundays at 12:30 for $35pp. Wolf Mountain offers a Winemakers tour and tasting for $40 pp at noon on Saturdays and Sundays from March thru November. No reservation required for less than 8 people.


Question: Can I get food at the wineries?

Answer: Several of the wineries offer food. Montaluce has a full service restuarant - LaVigne- and offers appetizers at the wine bar. Kaya offers light lunch items Tuesday thru Sunday. Wolf Mountain's Vineyard Cafe is open mid February thru mid December Thursdays - Saturdays from 12:00 - 3:00 pm for lunch. Light items can be purchased in the tasting room during tasting hours. Sunday brunch is offered for $35/pp plus tax and gratuity at 12:30 and 2:30 pm with a new menu each month. Frogtown Cellars Italian Bistro is open Friday and Saturday from 5:30 - 8:00 pm. It also offers panini sandwiches Friday from 12:00 - 3:30 pm, Saturday from 10:30 - 3:30 pm, and Sunday from 12:30 - 3:30 pm. Sunday brunch is served from 12:30 - 2:30 pm for $27.50/pp plus tax and gratuity. Check with the other wineries; they may have food trucks, light snacks, and other food items.

Question: Can I get transportation to and from the wineries or get transportation for a tour of the local wineries?

Appalachian Transportation: (706)-864-0021 ext 2. You may also want to try Uber, but there aren't alot of drivers in our area. If you are coming from Atlanta with a group consider checking out Atlanta based tours of our North Georgia wineries that offer round trips from the city.
