When are the Dahlonega area wineries open for tastings?

There are six wineries and a meadery in Dahlonega with various tasting hours. Three Sisters Winery is open for tasting Thursday thru Saturday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sundays from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Kaya Vineyard and Winery is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sundays from 12:30 to 5:00 pm. Frogtown Cellars in open Monday thru Friday from 12:00 noon – 5:00 pm, Saturday from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm and Sunday from 12:30 pm – 5:00 pm. Wolf Mountain Vineyards tasting hours from March thru August are Thursday – Saturday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday from 12:30 pm – 5:00 pm. From September thru November tastings are Tuesday – Saturday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday from 12:30 – 5:00 pm. Cavendar Creek Vineyards is open Sunday, Monday, and Thursday from 12:30 – 5:30 pm, Friday from 12:30 – 7:00 pm and Satruday from 11:00 – 7:00 pm. Montaluce Winery and Restaurant is open for tastings anytime it is open. This tends to be seven days a week and can be until 9:00 pm. The winery closes for private events at times so it’s always safest to call. Accent Cellars is open Sunday thru Friday from 12:30 – 7:00 pm and Saturdays from11:00 am – 8:00 pm. Etowah Meadery makes honey wine and is open for tastings Friday and Saturday from 10:00 – 7:00 pm and 12:30 – 7:00 on Sunday.

How much do tastings cost at Dahlonega wineries?

Walk-in tastings vary. Three Sisters charges $15 for a flight of five wines. Montaluce charges between $18 – $23 for a five wine flight. Kaya charges $14 for its basic 5 wine flight and $18 for its Delux Flight. At Wolf Mountain a tasting will cost you $20. Cavendar Creek offers a four wine tasting for $12. Accent Cellars offers a five wine flight for $14 and a nine wine flight for $22. Call Etowah Meadery and Frogtown Cellars for their tasting prices. Prices are subject to change.

Can I tour any of the Dahlonega wineries?

Montaluce offers free 20 minute tours with no reservations needed Weekdays at 2:00 pm and Weekends at Noon. Wine Hikes are offered on the weekends with a reservation. Kaya offers a 90 minute tour and tasting Saturdays and Sundays at 12:30 for $35pp. Wolf Mountain offers a Winemakers tour and tasting for $40 pp at noon on Saturdays and Sundays from March thru November. No reservation required for less than 8 people.

Can I get food at the wineries in Dahlonega?

Several of the wineries offer food. Montaluce has a full service restuarant – LaVigne- and offers appetizers at the wine bar. Kaya offers light lunch items Tuesday thru Sunday and dinner at their resort. Wolf Mountain’s Vineyard Cafe is open mid February thru mid December Thursdays – Saturdays from 12:00 – 3:00 pm for lunch. Light items can be purchased in the tasting room during tasting hours. Sunday brunch is offered for $35/pp plus tax and gratuity at 12:30 and 2:30 pm with a new menu each month. Frogtown Cellars Italian Bistro is open Friday and Saturday from 5:30 – 8:00 pm. It also offers panini sandwiches Friday from 12:00 – 3:30 pm, Saturday from 10:30 – 3:30 pm, and Sunday from 12:30 – 3:30 pm. Sunday brunch is served from 12:30 – 2:30 pm for $27.50/pp plus tax and gratuity. Check with the other wineries; they may have food trucks, light snacks, and other food items.

Can I get transportation to and from the wineries or get transportation for a tour of the local Dahlonega wineries?
